Located in an enchanting wood just outside of Battle Creek, Michigan, lies a Midwest Estate Reimagined.

Greencrest Manor began as a historic estate brimming with charm, possibility, and old-world beauty. Over time, it was thoughtfully restored and reimagined into a peaceful sanctuary for life’s most meaningful celebrations.

Our vision has always been simple: Create a place where time slows down, love is honored, and families can gather with ease and joy.

Today, couples travel from near and far to experience a wedding weekend that feels like a European escape—right here in the heart of Michigan.

Hi, I’m Jenn Ederer, owner of Greencrest Manor, and I’m thrilled you’re here.

For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of being a multi-passionate creative entrepreneur, guiding couples through some of the most joyful and memorable moments of their lives. What began as a leap of faith is now a thriving career that allows me to do what I love every single day. It’s truly a gift to serve our beloved clients with my incredible team, who share in the mission of making every moment feel unforgettable.

I knew Greencrest Manor was destined for something extraordinary the moment I set eyes on her in 2019. What I never imagined was how much this magical space would come to mean not only to our clients but also to me personally. It’s become a true haven, a place where love, connection, and joy flourish, and it’s a deep honor to offer others the opportunity to create lifelong memories here.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to serving others with heart and intention. As a wedding professional and industry leader with Modern Day Collective, I’ve spent nearly two decades perfecting my craft in event design and planning. My expertise lies in creating authentic, heartfelt experiences that make people feel at home. From our first conversation to the last goodbye, I’m passionate about bringing people together and helping them craft the kind of memories that stay with them forever.
Running a business that requires countless weekends and late nights away from home is no easy feat. But when you love what you do as much as we do at Greencrest, it doesn’t feel like work—it feels like purpose. I couldn’t be prouder of the amazing team behind the scenes who work tirelessly to bring each event to life. Together, we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where our clients and their guests can truly feel at home. Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
My favorite moment is cuing and listening to the speeches during the reception. The speeches are full of genuine stories, emotion, and inside moments that show who the couple truly is.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
I love the garden room because it’s bright, peaceful, and feels naturally special.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
My favorite small details at a wedding are the family portraits, they connect generations and show that the same love story has been continuing for decades.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
Being able to see everything buttoned up and ready to go for the bride and groom.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
Hmmmm, so many...I'd say under the pergola when it's in full bloom, the wisteria and all her glory!
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
Edging. nice, clean crisp edging.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
Seeing the couple make it through the ceremony and recess down the aisle as newlyweds. There’s something incredibly meaningful about that moment. Not just for our team from a logistical standpoint, but for the couple and their families. The stress melts away, everyone is finally together, and what’s left is pure happiness, joy, and a collective exhale as they begin the celebration as a married couple.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
It’s nearly impossible to choose just one, but if I had to, it would be the driveway. There’s an exciting, almost jittery feeling when you drive up for the first time. It truly sets the tone for the weekend. And having a long table set up down the driveway? It’s a whole vibe!!
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
The hospitality our team brings to every couple, their families, and their guests. It’s all about the little things; flowers waiting in the rooms, favorite snacks stocked in the dining room, and thoughtful surprises that make the weekend feel personal and intentional. That same care shows up in our planning, too. We make sure gifts and cards are tucked safely into the couple’s room (because no one wants to lose those!), and the bride’s bouquet always goes back in water and right by her bedside so it’s there waiting at the end of the night. Those small, behind-the-scenes touches, both on the property and throughout the planning process, are what truly make the experience feel extra special.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
My favorite part of a wedding weekend is watching our couples step into the spaces we’ve so carefully created for them and seeing their faces light up as their vision comes to life — every detail touched with intention, every corner filled with love, and knowing we helped turn their dream into something they can actually walk through
Your favorite spot on property and why?
My favorite place on the property is halfway up the drive, right when the manor slowly comes into view. It feels a little like magic every time I pass through the main gates — especially in the winter, when everything feels quieter and even more enchanting.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
A small detail I love about the manor is that, even though it feels so everlasting and full of character, it can effortlessly transform into anything you dream up. There’s something so special about how it holds so much history and charm, yet becomes a blank canvas for every couple’s vision — especially with our amazing team pouring so much heart into bringing it all to life.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
My favorite moment is seeing the Celebration House once it is fully set for the couple. Being part of the setup process is so rewarding, and it’s always amazing to see how the space transforms to reflect each couple’s vision.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
My favorite spot at Greencrest is the South Veranda, which is typically where couples gather for their rehearsal dinners. It always feels intimate and peaceful, no matter the time of year, and is such a beautiful slice of the property. Being able to see the fountain and ceremony lawn from the veranda reminds me of exchanging my vows with my husband, and the pear trees lining the manor always bring me back to my first look there with my dad. Seeing the magnolia bloom each spring, one of the first signs of a new season, makes the space even more special to me.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
One small detail I love is the painted mural on the ceiling in the foyer when you first enter the manor. It’s easy to miss, especially when the light isn’t on, but when you do notice it, it feels like a little hidden moment of magic. I always pause there for a few extra seconds, because it’s one of those quiet details that makes Greencrest feel romantic and dreamy.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
My favorite moment of the wedding weekend is lining up the bridal party and being with the bride right before the ceremony. It’s such a special moment she’ll treasure forever and I love being part of that experience with her. It’s often full of emotion, whether I’m helping her keep calm or simply trying to keep up with her excitement. I love making sure every detail is perfect before she takes the most important walks of her life!
Your favorite spot on property and why?
My favorite spot on the property is sitting beneath the wisteria pergola, watching the bride walk down the aisle while I prepare their marriage license signing and champagne toast in the conservatory. That moment always reminds me why I love being in the wedding industry!
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
One small detail that I love is how the sunlight reflects on the freshly poured champagne on the reception tables just waiting for the guests to enjoy their dinner!

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
Right when the dancefloor opens and people enjoy the people around them.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
The study, just the coolest room on the property to just sit and relax and talk to people.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
I love when people use the seating on the outside of the celebration house because it means that they don't feel like they have to dance to be a part of the party and they can sit and talk to their favorite people.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
My favorite moment of the wedding weekend is always during speeches. It’s so special hearing from the people closest to our couples about the love they share and the joy within their relationship.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
My favorite spot on the property is the conservatory, especially at sunset. There’s something magical about the light and atmosphere—it truly makes the Manor feel like it’s in another world.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
I always love the room reveal—the moment the space comes together and the couple sees their vision come to life for the very first time is incredibly special.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
I don’t think I can answer this question as I am not typically part of the wedding weekend.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
The upper right corner when you're facing the front of the property with your back to the house. There are trees that arch over to create a perfect shaded area. It is often overlooked, but it has been my favorite spot since my mom purchased the property.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
I love that you can place a chair anywhere on the grounds and find quiet and stillness. I also have a unique perspective on the property because it is filled with memories of my children growing up—from their first steps to playing tag. There isn't a single place where I don't have a memory of them. This space gives everyone, whether it's a child or a bride, the opportunity to unplug, rest, and simply be.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
Favorite moment is when guests first arrive, then looking around amazed at this place, wow!
Your favorite spot on property and why?
Favorite spot is the front gate, it's like stepping into the secret garden you always read about.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
Favorite is when the guests who come from all over the world realize that Jenn is the Picasso of weddings.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
My favorite moment of the wedding weekend is seeing all the family and friends gather together to celebrate the couple. I love knowing that it’s often a one-and-only moment where you get that exact group of people together in one place, and I find that really special.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
My favorite spot on the property would have to be the she-shed because the gardens around it in the summer feel very whimsical. I also love that it’s tucked away and feels hidden and intimate.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
I always notice the little personal touches, handwritten signs, meaningful décor pieces, and the quiet, genuine moments of connection between the couple throughout the day. Those details make everything feel intentional and full of heart.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
The first dance and the couples vows. It’s one of the few moments where everything else fades away and it’s just the couple enjoying the moments they’ve waited so long for.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
The main reception space, especially once it’s decorated and lit up. Seeing the room transform and fill with energy as guests arrive is always really special.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
I always love how couples personalize their day, whether it’s handwritten vows, meaningful music choices, or small décor details that reflect who they are.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
My favorite moment of the wedding weekend in Sunday brunch when the family & house guests can reflect back on the amazing day they had prior. They are always so thrilled through the exhaustion, yet so grateful to our team. It is truly rewarding to see the gratitude from the family along with the joy to begin their new life together!
Your favorite spot on property and why?
My favorite spot on property would be the front of the manor. The moment your car pulls onto the driveway and you can see the glimpse of the manor you just know magical things are going to happen. Each piece of the property is unique, although you know what the property encompasses once you pull up the driveway.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
One small detail I always notice is the way guests feel/react when they are welcomed on property. Whether they arrive off the shuttle or drive in, the joy and excitement they have as they experience the property and event.

Your favorite moment of the wedding weekend is?
Witnessing the Design team transform the celebration house into such an enchanting/romantic space is one of my favorite moments leading into a wedding weekend.
Your favorite spot on property and why?
My most favorite spot on the property would have to be coming up the main entrance. Looking towards the Manor. With all of the lampposts flanking the drive, accompanied with the canopy of trees. It’s always a beautiful sight, regardless the day, time or season.
One small detail you love (or always notice) is?
The small (or not so small) detail That I love and always notice is the Ivy on the Manor. I love when it’s been freshly trimmed at the top.
